Whole Body Cryo
Exposes the body to extremely cold temperatures for a few minutes, reducing pain, inflammation, and accelerating physical recovery.
Ice baths vs cryotherapy
Unlike an ice bath, which relies on prolonged wet cold, cryotherapy delivers a brief, intense, dry cold stimulus — in a fraction of the time.
Ice baths
Rely on prolonged wet cold exposure to cool muscles and promote gradual recovery effects.
- Submerged for 10–20 minutes
- Wet cold sensation
- Slow endorphin release
Cryotherapy
Delivers an intense, brief, dry cold stimulus to trigger systemic protective and analgesic responses related to pain relief.
- Quicker treatment, 3–4 minutes
- Circulates dry cold air
- Fast endorphin release

Got questions?
We’ve answered the key ones to help you book your first session with confidence.
Whole body cryotherapy exposes your skin to very cold, dry air for around three minutes. It’s a short, sharp cold stimulus without the wet discomfort of an ice bath — you step in, it’s brisk, and you step out feeling noticeably awake.
They do similar things differently. An ice bath is wet, takes 10–15 minutes and cools you gradually. Cryotherapy is dry, takes three minutes, and cools the skin faster and harder. We offer cryotherapy because it’s quicker, more comfortable, and easier to fit into a routine.
Cold enough that three minutes is the maximum, and it genuinely passes quickly. It’s a dry cold, so it doesn’t bite the way water does. You’ll wear gloves, socks and minimal clothing, and someone stays with you the whole time. Most people are surprised how manageable it is.
Move afterwards — a short walk or light stretching helps circulation return. Avoid a hot shower straight away. Consistency matters more than intensity; two or three sessions a week does more than one occasional session.
Cryotherapy isn’t suitable during pregnancy, or if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure, a heart condition, Raynaud’s, or cold sensitivity. We run a short health screen before your first session, and if it isn’t right for you we’ll say so and suggest something that is.
We’d love to hear from you
